Afroza Hoque Chowdhury

Principal (Acting)

Afroza Hoque Chowdhury joined SISB as Vice Principal and currently playing leadership role as Principal (Acting). She has more than 22 years of teaching experience including 14 years at Glenrich International School as a Senior Mathematics Teacher. She also served Mastermind English Medium School for 3 years as Senior Mathematics Teacher. She was a teacher at CIDER International School Chittagong and IEC School Uttara.

She earned her B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in Mathmatics from Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Sylhet.

She has participated in several educational development workshops throughout her career life. She completed 2 PDQ courses: Cambridge International Certificate for Teachers Trainers (CICTT) in 2008 and Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching and Learning (CICTL) in 2023 organized by Cambridge Assessment International Education and other professional development courses under the Extension Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics and the British Council.

Afroza was a national women's Chess player and currently playing the role as National Chess Instructor and Arbiter. She is a pianist (assist students in programs at school).
