Afroza Hoque Chowdhury

Principal (Acting)

Afroza Hoque Chowdhury joined SISB as Vice Principal in July 2024 and is currently serving as Acting Principal. She brings over 22 years of teaching experience, including 14 years at Glenrich International School as a Senior Mathematics Teacher. She has also taught at Mastermind English Medium School, CIDER International School Chittagong, and IEC School Uttara.

She holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics from Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Sylhet. Dedicated to professional growth, she has completed multiple training programs, including the Cambridge International Certificate for Teachers Trainers (CICTT) in 2008 and the Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching and Learning (CICTL) in 2023. Additionally, she has participated in various educational workshops under Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics and the British Council.

Beyond academics, Afroza is a former national women’s chess player and now serves as a National Chess Instructor and Arbiter. She is also a pianist, supporting students in school programs.
